Flash Trailer Is A Phony image
Technology is great, but not when it lets people get the better of you. According to Slashfilm, a Flash fan took the liberty of posting a phony trailer on YouTube. At the beginning of the trailer, its creator shows this disclaimer: “On Thursday October 16, 2008 there was a special advanced screening of The Watchmen in Portland, Oregon. This trailer ran before the screening.” I don’t think so.

As Slashfilm points out, there were no official reports that any Flash trailer had been shown before the feature film. On top of that, security was pretty tight. So odds are, nobody was sneaking in a recording device. To add to the doubt regarding the trailer, producer Charles Roven admitted there has been little progress made on the project. Slow motion product, isn’t that ironic?

The first few seconds of this phony teaser actually seem legitimate. But maybe it’s just because it shows the Warner Brothers and DC Comics labels. The actual footage makes me doubt the trailer was made using the real deal equipment. Check it out for yourself here.
