With the kickoff of this year’s San Diego Comic Con literally now less than 24 hours away, Disney is starting to uupload their planned Tron 2 promotional scheme.. Granted, that hasn’t so far included telling us what it’s actually called, but they’re working heartily at flooding the internet with viral tidbits anyway.

At the center of everything is a website called FlynnLives.com which if you read between the lines, reveals what Jeff Bridges’ Kevin Flynn character has been up to since the end of the first movie during the 80s. Apparently what he’s been up to is disappearing.

According to the site Flynn disappeared in 1989 and hasn’t been seen since. The viral promotion seems to revolve around a group dedicated to proving he’s alive, reporting contact and strange sightings of Flynn around the planet. This all ties in nicely with what we’ve heard about the plot of the film. Odds are Flynn’s still around, he’s just lost inside a computer.

Most importantly, if you click on the bouncing spider at the bottom of Flynn Lives you’ll see a countdown clock which as of now, reads two days, two hours, and fifty five minutes. That means the clock should run down shortly after the end of Tron’s schedule panel at Comic Con on Thursday. That would give them time to debut their rumored, first ever teaser trailer at Comic Con, and then debut it on the web when time runs out.
