Fox And WB Actually Talking To Each Other About Watchmen![]()
The courtroom where Fox and Warner Bros. might finally settle this whole Watchmen thing is silent this weekend. But it turns out the warring studios might actually be striking a deal, in contrast to the stonewalling and passive-aggressive sniping in the press they've been doing this whole time.
Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood Daily reports that Fox and Warner Bros. have begun "backchannel talks," which marks "the first time both sides are trying to hash out a settlement." There's no telling what this means for the actual court-appointed debates, which will resume on Monday when the judge decides whether to approve WB's request to move up the next hearing date. There still might be an injunction, we still may never actually see this movie, but at least someone on either side of the debate is actually willing, shockingly, to talk about it. Score one for playing nice, finally. |
