If you're like me, when you hear the name Piper Perabo, it takes you a moment to remember who that is. Then it comes to you suddenly-- one of those girls dancing on bars half-naked in Coyote Ugly. Take a moment to pinpoint which one. Ah yes, her. Well I've been wondering what she's been up to, and now I know. Finally I can sleep at night again.

According to Variety, she has been busy filming a romantic comedy called Imagine Me & You, which Fox Searchlight will distribute. The story is about a girl who falls in love on her wedding day, but not to her future husband. Rachel (Perabo) is set to marry Heck (Matthew Goode), when her gaze glances towards an unexpected guest at their reception. Instantly, she wonders if she is marrying the wrong guy.

She should also wonder who on earth would want to see this movie. Come on now Piper, no better scripts came your way? I find that hard to imagine, myself. I do know that it's not too charming to watch a person leave their future spouse for someone else. Kind of like in those movies where we're expected to root for the lead character to leave their fiancee and date the new hunk in town.

Imagine Me & You (which is the working title, thankfully, so there's hope for revision) will hit theaters on February 10th, 2006. Right around Valentine's Day. Grab your sweetie and go witness the extended death of the romantic comedy genre.
