Franco And Wahlberg Join Tina Fey's Date Night![]()
Pairing up Tina Fey and Steve Carell up as a married couple lost in the middle of an Adventures in Babysitting-like night on the town is a stroke of genius. Date Night deserves to be brilliant, and even though they don’t really need anything beyond Fey and Carell to make it so, 20th Century Fox has added more players to make Date Night the perfect night.
Variety says they’ve added Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Kristen Wiig, Taraji P. Henson, Common, and Leighton Meister to provide comedic pathos. Buff and frequently open-shirted Marky Mark will play a pumped up securities expert who flirts with Tina Fey. Franco, who’s proved his comedic chops to wide audiences last year with Pineapple Express, will be a dim-bulb petty criminal and conman. Taraji P. Henson (Benjamin Button) plays a villain, Common plays a bad guy, and the ever flexible Kristen Wiig plays Tina Fey’s best friend. As for Leighton Meister, file her under random hot chick who babysits Tina Fey’s kid. As long as we're on the subject, here's a quick reminder of James Franco's previously showcased comedic criminal abilities: |
