Tim Burton’s a busy man, constantly taking the director’s chair with some endeavors, as well as producing others. 2012 has been a busy year for the 54-year-old. Not only did he direct the live-action flick Dark Shadows, but he also finally finished the stop motion remake of his short film Frankenweenie. The film did decently at the box office, but if you did miss it, Disney is bringing Frankenweenie to 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download on January 8, 2013.

The film follows a young scientist whose interest in bringing back the dead is sparked after his dog is killed in an accident. In a parody of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the stop motion animation adventure is full of friendship and adventure, and for fans who enjoyed it or just want to check it out, Disney is putting together plenty of different sets for audiences to choose from.

The 3D Blu-ray will be the most impressive set, coming with a 3D copy of the movie, a Blu-ray, a DVD, and a digital copy. A regular Blu-ray set will also be available, as well as a DVD copy. Extras range from a lot to a couple, depending on which set you opt to go with. The good news is, if you are only meh on the movie, you can spend less, and if you really enjoy the flick you can get a set that will look a little more impressive on your shelf as part of your collection.
