I like Vince Vaughn, a lot. I think he, and actors like him offer that colloquial, conversational type of comedy full of interrupted sentences, frustrated inadequacy and recognizable everyman problems. Problems like say, sibling rivalry?
The premise for Fred Claus is looser than Tara Reid at a New Year's bash but it at least has me curious; The Claus family, including the titular brother Fred, are to spend Christmas together and chaos ensues. It could have potential. This poster however, isn't exactly saying much is it?
If you want a real taster, in case you blinked and missed it, watch the teaser trailer. Nothing we haven't seen from Vince before but the cherry on top has got to be the genius choice of Paul Giamatti as Santa. Worth the price of admission alone.
