Next Bond girl rumors are only slightly more numerous and wrong than Batman 3 casting rumors, and the thing about this rumor is that we’ve heard it before. It was in March of 2009 that Slumdog Millionaire babe Freida Pinto was first rumored to be up for a role in the next James Bond movie. That rumor went nowhere, and now it’s reared its ugly head again.

Mid Day says Pinto is back on the Bond 23 shortlist as potential hottie material for 007’s next outing. What makes this rumor a little more likely this time is that now, we actually know for Bond 23 is happening. Sam Mendes is directing and the film is fast tracked for a 2011 release, which means that a Bond babe shortlist almost certainly exists out there somewhere. It’s just a question of whether Freida is actually on it, and whether James Bond wants to sleep with her. Scratch that. Look at her. Of course he does.

Freida however, is a citizen of a country in which Richard Gere was burned in effigy for hugging one of their actresses too hard. They’re afraid to show kissing in their movies, and so they substitute line dancing for human intimacy.
