Friday Comic Con Schedule Announced![]()
At San Diego Comic Con, Friday is Star Wars day! The organizers have just released the Friday schedule, and for some reason the big selling point is supposed to be a dedicated to a franchise that had already been pretty well declared dead. Beats me, but that's what's up. As for the programming that actually involves new stuff, Warner Bros. will be presenting footage from its upcoming projects, including Where The Wild Things Are and Jonah Hex, in Hall H, Henry Selick will talk about the magic that went into February's Coraline, Robert Rodriguez will hold court to discuss his upcoming Shorts, and two projects with 9 in the title will get the Comic Con treatment-- Focus will be presenting their animated fable 9, while Sony's panel will focus on both Legion and Neill Blomkamp's alien drama District 9.
A key change was also made to Thursday's schedule. Rather than cramming anxious Twilight fans into Hall H and forcing them to sit through both Disney and Fox's presentations, the Summit panel and Fox panels have switched places. Now geeks anxiously awaiting word from James Cameron and Avatar will be able to don their 3D glasses, unencumbered by Twihard squealing at Robert Pattinson. Boys will get to hang out with boys, girls will hang out with girls, and order shall be restored to the Comic Con universe. You can check out the full schedules, as always, at the official Comic Con site. Are you ready for this? I sure as hell am not. |
