The remake of Friday the 13th is on the verge of casting one of Jason’s victims. Variety says her name is Amanda Righetti and she’s pretty which should mean she’ll do lots of running and screaming. It’s a horror movie, and that’s what pretty girls do in them.

She should be good at it. She’s done the unnecessary horror movie thing before. Last year she was in a direct to video sequel to House on Haunted Hill called Return to House on Haunted Hill. She was also on Entourage, which probably means Vince at some point had his way with her. Her resume appears to be filled with standard pretty girl roles, where she’s either being terrorized or banged by some dude. She sounds like exactly the sort of actress that’s called for here.

The Michael Bay produced Friday the 13th redo starts shooting April 21st in Austin, the only place in Texas worth spending more than a day in.
