If there's a movie I'm rooting for more than any other this year, it's King Kong. But not far behind it is Disney's desperate attempt to recapture it's animation dominance, a movie called Chicken Little.

Disney has just released to us a nice little 4 minute clip containing the entire opening of the film. It's the latest in chic marketing techniques. Let's hope it works better for Chicken Little than it did for Serenity.

I'm not sure I'm really sold on the animation yet. The trailers looked decent on a big screen at the theater, but on my computer monitor… it looks barely up to Ice Age animation levels. I do love that opening narration of Gary Marshall though. It's tongue-in-cheek parody, but his voice lends the whole thing an air of warmth and happy dignity, the sort of stuff you'd expect from the guys carrying the legacy of Walt Disney. Let's hope that carries throughout the entire film.
