It looks like James Bond isn’t holding a monopoly on on-set accidents. Things tend to tighten up on movie sets after any production suffers from an accident, but Quantum of Solace’s vehicular problems weren’t enough of a warning for production on G.I. Joe, which suffered it’s own multiple car crash.
IESB reports that a bus and several cars collided in Prague on a location rented out for filming on G.I. Joe. Seven people were treated according to police and emergency services, although thankfully the only injuries were slight. There’s no statement about who was involved, or who wasn’t (typically there’s at least a comment made that major players weren’t around, but that hasn’t been reported on yet).
Between Bond and this I think we’ve had our fill of on-set accidents. Let’s hope these are the worst of this year’s reports, and nothing else comes down in the future.
