We’ve seen Snake Eyes and Scarlett and now it looks like the rest of the G.I. Joe team is leaking onto the Internet. What Would Tyler Durden Do? had gotten a hold of multiple shots of each of the main characters, from the aforementioned released images to new shots of Channing Tatum (Duke), Karolina Korkova (Cover Girl), Marlon Wayans (Ripcord), Byung-hun Lee (Storm Shadow), Sienna Miller (Baroness), and Dennis Quaid (Hawk). Of course, they’re gone now because Paramount isn’t apparently ready for you to see them yet, but I did get a chance to see them before they were pulled.
Each character has shots taken from multiple angles, oddly including a rear-end shot of everyone. That doesn’t disturb me as much as having just about everyone looking identical in their armored suits. I’m all for some streamlined appearance, but right now about the only difference between characters is that one is blonde, one is red-headed, one wears a beret, one is African American, etc.
Also, where are the really cool shots? Destro? Cobra Commander? Sure it’s great to see Sienna Miller’s Baroness (especially with dark hair), but where are the other baddies?
These were clearly shot as promotional shots, so I can only imagine an official release for the images isn’t too far away. Until then, however, the movie looks like it’s going for something a little more militant and streamlined for the Joes than the motley colored garb their figures possessed.
