Gaiman Offers Up A Coraline Clip image
I’ve been a limited fan of Neil Gaiman for a while now. I didn’t follow his work much when he was creating graphic novels and Sandman, but his novels have been a lot more captivating for me. This year’s adaptation of Stardust really opened my eyes as to how well his writing could be adapted into film, getting me excited about the next adaptation: his children’s book, Coraline.

The movie, directed by Henry Selick, is being released in 3-D and a trailer came out a few weeks ago, but since it was 3-D it wasn’t made accessible online. Gaiman has finally aquired something to show from the upcoming movie, however, and the author has posted a short clip from the movie on his website.

The footage here looks incredible – so incredible it may be one of those movies I have to venture out and make a special trip to see in 3-D. I can only imagine how amazing this winds up in surround sound, with the ghost children coming straight at the audience.
