George Clooney, averse to human interaction? I was under the impression he never met a man he didn't like, so maybe Clooney will have the chance to try on a new identity in A Very Private Gentleman, a planned adaptation of Martin Booth's novel about an assassin hiding out in a small Italian town.
Variety reports that Focus has set Clooney to star and Anton Corbijn to direct the film, which finds the normally reclusive hitman drawn into life in the small town just before he has to carry out a final assignment. I mean, can you blame the Italian villagers? Even if George Clooney was literally pointing a gun to my head, I'd have a hard time not making conversation.
