Get A Detailed Look At The Head Of The Alien From Ridley Scott's Prometheus

The Prometheus trailer that was released a few weeks ago was not only amazing because of its breathtaking imagery and terrifying tone, but because of all of the little details that you'd catch only going through the preview frame by frame. One of said details, picked up in our post-trailer analysis, was the mysterious alien whose head is sitting in some sort of lab around the :34 second mark (you can see it right here). Because the shot cuts so quickly and the title kind of obscures it, we actually don't get a very good look at the creature. That is about to be corrected.

Cinemart-Online has received a couple close-up images from the set of Prometheus that show off what appears to be the aforementioned alien. The design looks similar, these make it appear a bit skinnier and the "nose" looks a bit longer (Perhaps something special happens when the head gets cut off?). Even more exciting is the fact that the website's insider says that "the creature featured in PROMETHEUS has been executed with very little CGI planned." Check out one of the pictures below and head over to their site for the second.

Starring Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pierce and Logan Marshall-Green, Prometheus is Ridley Scott's first science-fiction film since 1982's Blade Runner. The story follows a group of scientists that go searching for the origin of man, but what they find might end their existence completely. As always, to learn more about the movie, be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database.
