Don’t act too surprised, guys. The Mummy was a hit, its sequel was a hit, its upcoming sequel is already expected to be a hit, so you know what they’re going to do next? No, “give it a rest” is not the answer. Maria Bello, star of the upcoming The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, did an interview recently with MTV News, and told them “"[There will] absolutely be The Mummy 4. "
Bello, whose role was played in the first two Mummy films by Rachel Weisz, couldn’t be more excited to be traveling the world as wife to archaeologist Rick O’Connell. "In the beginning of the movie I do a sword fight with an invisible mummy. I had to be on wires and do sword work. It took days to do, and it was so much fun. I would do flips on the wire and I'd land down and be like a little kid."
Bello is known for her work with directors like David Cronenberg and Oliver Stone, so is she selling her soul to the big-budget machine by being so enthusiastic about Mummy sequels? Eh, maybe. Christian Bale, after all, is playing Batman and is about to be in a Terminator movie, and no one has stopped taking him seriously. Then again, it’s a lot harder out there for a woman, especially one who is nearly 40 (not that this is fair, but it’s a fact). I guess Bello can have all the fun she wants swinging from wires, but be careful—that tomb can be a quick portal to career irrelevance.

ohh,, this movie have many deficiencies.... not like the first 2 sequel.... is very admirable and really tatooed on the fans and viewers mind and heart,,,,
I've been a big"Mummy" enthusiast from the first movie including the "Scorpian King".But this third sequal left me very dissapointed,I was expecting to see Rachel Weisz return to play Evelyn. There was no chemistry this time without her.! The reason I loved the other 2 was for the relationship between "Rick(Brandon Frazer) and Evie(Rachel Weisz). There was known of that in this one.Yes the movie was phenomenal but all the way home my heart didn't get that great feeling like I did from the other 2.To me sequals return us to the great sentiments and expectancy of a continuum of the relationships as it grows and matures.I loved hte special effects but it boils down to the actors and their individual charizma and charm that no one else can substitute on the big screen. Also their grown son looked the same age as his movie dad and mysteriously lost his very British accent he had in "The Mummy Returns".That left a bad taste in my mouth.Unless the next movie brings back the original actors the producers take a big gamble. In this instance a great movie could have been the best if they didn't messed with the stars that made it great!! Vilma in Bristol,Pa.
