MOVIE NEWS
Get Super Next Weekend![]()
As eager as some people seem to be to give X3 a pass, Superman Returns can't get a break from some movie fans. There's always something to nitpick about it. The latest this week on our forum was the complaint that it's not being marketed enough. It seems the naysayers want more advertisements to convince them.
Sure, Warner Bros. has released scores of beautiful stills on the internet, sure it's on the cover of every newspaper and entertainment magazine in the country. But where are the trailers? Superman Returns hits theaters in a little more than two months, and so far we've only seen a single teaser. Well stop complaining. The next, full, Superman Returns trailer is coming. SuperheroHype reports that the first new Returns trailer will hit theaters next weekend attached to Mission: Impossible III. If you can't stand Tom Cruise, don't worry. They'll be blitzing the hell out of it in front of every movie from there on out, starting the following weekend with the soggy sinking ship disaster flick Poseidon. Reportedly, the trailer will clock in at around two minutes and twenty-eight seconds. And if like me, you're a sucker for high quality trailer viewing, it'll also be presented in beautiful, glowing digital. So if you're locationally lucky enough to be near a digital theater, go see M:I:III there and as a bonus you'll get the Man of Steel in digitally projected glory. With two months to go, be prepared for Superman Returns to be everywhere all at once. The marketing runs faster than a speeding bullet starting next weekend. |
