Ghost Rider 2 is happening, for some reason. It’s not that the original was terrible, exactly. It wasn’t Elektra bad or anything, but I had no idea that anyone, outside of Nic Cage, cared enough about it to want another one. The notion of a sequel never seemed real, until now that is, when we have video evidence of the movie being filmed.

The following video comes straight from the Ghost Rider 2 set and in it you’ll see Nic Cage hanging out by his motorcycle, posting in Johnny Blaze attire. Almost even more amazing than the fact of the movie’s existence, however, is his hair. Here’s a shocker: It may be real. The video was filmed in what appears to be hurricane-like wins and somehow, unbelievably, Cage’s hair stays on his head. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but, that’s not a rug. Is it?

Question: What happened to Johnny Blaze’s motorcycle? Didn’t it used to have flames on the front? Didn’t it used to be more… decorative? Maybe this is just a loaner. Here’s Johnny Blaze on his bike from the first movie:


Whatever bike it is, Cage seems really into it. He even crouches down to start giving the thing a tune-up at the end. Say what you want about his recent movie choices, but it’s hard not to like Nic Cage.
