Ghostbusters 3 Is Not G3![]()
Just a quick note. There’s a story floating around on several different sites which claims the third Ghostubsters has been titled G3. It’s a horrible name but, no need to panic. It’s almost certainly a lie. The story is based on a quote taken out of context from Showbiz 411 where they say the following: “Reitman says a script for “G3″ is being worked on now”
The way they phrase it, it’s not entirely clear whether director Ivan Reitman called it G3 or whether they simply did in their story as a way of being hip with the abbreviations. Even if Reitman did say it, that doesn’t mean that’s what they’re calling the movie. It’s just what he called it in the moment, the same way we’ve been known to call X-Men 3 by X3, even though that’s not the movie’s title. Odds are they’re calling the thing Ghostbusters 3 and there’s no reason to start a letter writing campaign. Just sit back and look forward to the ghost with three fingers raised on the poster. In real news though, Reitman did reveal the script is in progress and indicated that they might start shooting in 2010. The Ghostbusters are out of development hell and on their way back to theaters. |
