I remain incredibly excited about the notion of seeing Jim Carrey as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol. Unfortunately that’s not the movie we’re getting. Instead Jim Carrey is the voice of a creepily, motion-capture animated Scrooge flying around in a CGI world populated by creepy ghosts.

Still the ghosts themselves do look pretty good. Disney has released a new behind the featurette focused entirely on the movie’s spectre spirit guides in which Carrey, Zemeckis, and others involved in the film talk about the role they’ll play in the story. Every time I see him, I’m particularly impressed by the Ghost of Christmas Present who, looks like what I imagine Tom Bombadil might look like if he were cool instead of incredibly lame.
