Too cool for Hollywood writer turned stripper turned writer Diablo Cody already has her follow-up to Juno lined up. In case you haven’t heard, it’s called Jennifer’s Body, the story of a gorgeous cheerleader is possessed by a demon, who starts feeding off the boys in a small Minnesota farming town. Her "plain Jane" best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshipping rock band responsible for the horrible transformation.

Sounds awesome right, and about as far from Juno as anything could possibly get. But the script is by Juno writer Cody, who’s seems loves nothing better than being weird. Don’t expect her to do the same thing twice.

Transformers hottie Megan Fox (male readers enjoy the picture to your right, female readers stay tuned… tomorrow I’ll try to find something to report on Clooney) is already slated to star in the film. No word on if she’s the boy-eating demon cheerleader or the plain Jane best friend. I have a hard time picturing Megan as plain, so I’m betting on her being an uber-hot, sex-crazed hell spawn. At least that’s what I’ll be dreaming of later tonight. Is it just me or has the site gone absolutely sex crazy tonight? My apologies.

This is supposed to be a story about Jennifer’s Body finding a director. HR says Karyn Kusama is in negotiations to helm the movie. Kusama was once acclaimed for directing the Michelle Rodriguez movie Girlfight. Since then, she’s taken a long nap. Unless of course you count Aeon Flux. Somehow I suspect she wouldn’t want to. She did direct one episode of The L Word, a vaguely sexy soap opera disguised as something significant. Girlfight though, is pretty good. I actually hope Kusama ends up directing. I can see her matching up pretty well with Cody, she might even be able to tone down some of the hipster desperation that sometimes seeps into Cody’s otherwise great work. Or maybe I’m just jealous of Cody. Or in love. I can’t decide which it is. I think I may need to change my name to Diablo Cassidy or something.
