Go Behind The Scenes Of The New Nicholas Sparks Adaptation The Lucky One
Even though The Notebook hit theaters in 2004 and made a killing at the box office (to the tune of $81 million domestically on a $29 million budget), it took four years before the next Nicholas Sparks adaptation came around. Since 2008, however, they've been coming fairly regularly, with Nights in Rodanthe, Dear John and The Last Song all making their way into theaters over the past three years. The next one set to arrive is The Lucky One, which stars Zac Efron, Taylor Schilling, and Blythe Danner. We actually haven't seen a trailer for the movie yet - it's actually not coming out until April 2012 - but today we have a new featurette that takes you behind the scenes of the production.
Check out the preview below or in HD over on Yahoo! In The Lucky One, Efron stars as marine Logan Thibault who, while serving overseas, finds an image of a beautiful blonde woman in the sand. Just as he does, a bomb drops and he finds himself as a lucky survivor. Returning home to North Carolina, he decides that he wants to meet the woman in the picture (Schilling), but when he does he doesn't have the nerve to tell her about the picture and instead decides to work for her. The adaptation was written by Will Fetters (Remember Me) and is directed by Scott Hicks (Snow Falling on Ceders, Shine). |
