God Of War Script Review: Could It Actually Be Good? image
We all learned long ago not to really expect anything out of movie adaptations of video games-- with the rarest of exceptions, the films turn out more like commercial tie-ins than actual works on their own. But CC2K got their hands on the script for the upcoming God of War movie, and while they're not promising anything particular grand, they actually have high hopes for this one.

"Everything about God of War is like Clash of the Titans, only taken to the extreme and amped up to satisfy the 21st century sensibilities of males aged 15-25," Big Ross writes at one point in his review, which seems to tell us pretty much everything we need to know about the film. Apparently writer David Self has stayed almost slavishly true to the plot of the game, introducing the character of Kratos and the Greek mythology world he inhabits. Kratos has sworn allegiance to Ares, the God of War, and spends the film on a mission on that god's behalf.

The script progresses as fans of the game would expect until the end, where Self apparently unleashes a major departure from the source material? Want to find out what that is? Check out CC2K's review for yourself! You know you're curious now.
