Golden Globes Winners Announced And Updated Live!![]()
The writers strike may have killed the red carpet, but it can’t stop the giving of the Hollywood Foreign Press’s globular awards. It has however, taken a lot of the fun out of it. Assuming you’re one of those people who thought the Golden Globes were fun. I mean, I’m assuming someone does since those Neilson people say it’s being watched. I refuse however to believe that anyone is watching the Dateline NBC pre-show. Unless of course you’re just dying to find out what the guys from NBC’s football broadcast crew think about Hairspray. Weird.
So tonight’s 2008 Golden Globe winners are/will/have been (depending on when you read this, pick your own tense and save me the trouble) announced via press conference, which means a lot of press milling about while names are read from a podium. Apparently on NBC it also means skipping the awards you don't like, and having commentators commenting on movies they have, rather obviously, not seen (I’m looking at you Billy Bush). It may be less entertaining the usual awards, but at least it’s over faster. Since it’ll waste less of my time than normal, I’ll be updating the winners of this year’s Golden Globes below, live as they happen on this page. Below you’ll find a complete list of nominees. Keep refreshing the page, and when you see a name turn red and go bold, there’s your winner.
