Grandma's Boy Red-Band

I've seen the trailers Grandma's Boy in theaters a couple of times now. It gets funnier every time I see it. Though the trailers are funny, I've got this weird feeling that it's one of those movies that's blown all its jokes in the trailer, or maybe that it's less funny in context. You know what I mean.

So, even though I have the feeling that the movie is leading to nothing but disappointment, right now it looks hilarious. It's the story of a middle-aged, geeky game tester forced to live with his grandma and her three aged girlfriends. Think of it like Harry Knowles moving in with the Golden Girls. Along the way there's a monkey and much smoking of pot.

Though there's been a trailer out for awhile, FilmRot has discovered a newly released a red-band version of the Grandma's Boy trailer, along with a red-band clip from the film. If you don't know what a red-band trailer is, that means it's a rated R version of the trailer you'd normally see in theaters. The trick is that in order to access it, you have to fill out a form verifying your age. The problem with that is… well the form doesn't work very well. As near as I can tell, it verifies your age by looking your info up in the white pages. If you're like me, and have to keep your address unlisted or risk being mobbed by hordes of adoring fans, then you won't be able to access it. I had to steal someone's identity in order to see it. So if you have a fake ID, now's the time to use it.
