Green Lantern Sets A Date![]()
Seth Rogen's Green Hornet is the one in the news today, having picked Michel Gondry as a director. But the fellow emerald superhero Green Lantern is quietly setting up stakes as a contender, having finally set its release date for December 17, 2010.
Indeed, the movie does not yet have a star, or much of anything in terms of development. But ERC Box Office notes that Warner Bros. wanted to lock down the holiday release, to stay away from other summer superheroes like Iron Man 2, Thor and, uh, The Green Hornet. The release date should probably be taken as a sign of faith that they're actually planning to make this movie, but there are still so many questions to ask about what this will actually be like. Giving us some casting information, even a little bit, would probably go a long way toward getting us to look forward to yet another 2010 superhero. |
