Groundbreaking New Avengers Set Photos
While Thor and Iron Man have no trouble taking to the skies at a moment's notice, most of The Avengers don't have that wonderful superpower known as flight. Sure, Hulk can leap far distances, but Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow are like the rest of us in that they need aerial transport if they want to get around the world at a speed faster than running. The answer to this problem is the vehicle known as the quinjet, but there is one issue: in the comics, quinjets typically aren't around for very long before they're destroyed. Judging by the new Avengers set photos captured in New York this week, that issue will continue in the new film.
Check out some of the photos below and head over to Coming Soon for more:
These pictures actually remind me a lot of the ones that came out last year from the set of X-Men: First Class that showed off the destroyed Blackbird. While they do have some practical sets at work, it looks like they will also be using a good amount of green screen so that they don't have to build an entire plane in downtown Manhattan. If you look at the other photos, one thing that's kind of weird is that they spelled quinjet wrong (there's box on a map that says "Quinn Jet Door Baseframe"), but I suppose this is a new continuity so they can do whatever they want.
