The Hungry Rabbit Jumps, a thriller that's about to start filming in New Orleans, has collected a pretty remarkable and odd cast so far-- Nicolas Cage is leading the whole thing as a man seeking vengeance, with January Jones as his wronged wife and Diane Kruger as a cab driver who helps him on his mission. Now Guy Pearce has gotten tangled up in the whole thing too.

According to Production Weekly's Twitter, Pearce has joined the production, which gets started in two weeks. They're not saying what his role will be, but given that Cage's character is getting tangled up in an underground vigilante group, there will be plenty of room for Pearce to play some kind of intense character. Cage's participation still makes me suspicious, but the more they surround him with a good supporting cast, the more likely it seems this might turn out OK.
