New Line has just sent us the first movie poster for their upcoming movie musical adaptation of Hairspray. Guess what? It has hair on it. That’s good. It means they have read the title of the movie. If you’re wondering which one is John Travolta, I’m pretty sure he’s the large woman up in the top left corner.

Personally, I’m really hoping Hairspray manages to bring the beehive back. My 8th grade Algebra teacher had one. Rumor had it that a student in the class before mine actually saw a roach run out of it. Somehow that morphed into a series of underground comics featuring her as a beehive powered Nazi. You really can’t go wrong with the beehive.
