I guess it's in the tradition of exploitation horror movies that they're moving really, really fast with the next Halloween movie, which Rob Zombie decided to direct not even a month ago. As far as i know there's not even a definite cast yet, but Dimension Films has already set a release date for the movie-- and it'll be familiar to anyone who saw the first "reimagining" back in 2007.

Coming Soon found out that H2 will be released on August 28, just three days earlier than the first Halloween came out in 2007. It was a trick that worked back then-- the movie made $58 million-- so why mess with a good thing? Coming Soon's horror arm Shock Til You Drop also has a look at the mask that Jason will wear in the movie, and though it looks a little like a failed clay sculpture, I'm sure it'll look great on the screen. Check it out over there, and prepare to be scared in the dog days of this summer.
