Hank Azaria And James Marsden The Frontrunners For Remaining Three Stooges Roles?![]()
With the project set to go into production in the middle of next month and one of the dust settled in regard to their first casting selection, we can probably assume that the rest of the actors to be in Peter and Bobby Farrelly's The Three Stooges will be announced fairly soon. Now we might have an idea of who they're looking at.
Deadline reports that the two names now surfacing to play Moe Howard and Larry Fine, respectively, are Hank Azaria and James Marsden. Should they be cast, they would join Will Sasso in the film, who just a couple hours ago was announced as Curly. Where the actors stand is highly speculative, however, as Deadline doesn't reveal a source for the information and at one point goes as far as to say "the name I am most often hearing..." Both Azaria and Marsden have roles in the Universal live-action/CGI-animated Easter movie Hop, which comes out next week. While I find the Marsden rumor fairly strange (the same guy who played Cyclops in the X-Men movies?) I love the Azaria idea. The guy has always been hilarious and it isn't a stretch to see a physical resemblance - just throw a bowl cut on him. |
