George Miller is about to get really busy. He’s already set up to direct the live action Justice League of America but Clint over at Moviehole says he’ll also be doing two other movies… concurrently.

One of those movies will be the long-rumored Mad Max 4. It’s being called Mad Max 4: Fury Road and the MH guys say it’s been greenlit to start pre-production at Fox Studios in Sydney immediately.

The other film is Happy Feet 2, which Miller has been promising was imminent since the first one hit theaters and became a massive box office smash. Penguins may be somewhat out of vogue now, but people love Happy Feet and there’s definitely a huge audience for another one.

Clint swears his information is the real deal, and he’s not a guy prone to exaggeration so you can bet it’s so. But how is George Miller going to direct three movies all at once? I know there’s a lot of pre-strike pressure, but three? This is George Miller after all, he’s not the most prolific Hollywood director. In the past thirty years he’s only made 8 or 9 movies. Now he’s going to do three in a span of six months? Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, unless perhaps he hands off director duties on at least one of them to someone else. Happy Feet is animated George, let one of your animators handle it and take a producer credit. It’s penguins, as long as they do some tap-dancing it can’t possibly go wrong.
