Woody Harrelson has crawled out of his live-in humidor, cinched up his hemp rope belt, and decided to start making movies again. Sure, he’s worked steadily over the past few years, but mostly in cameo roles or in parts that he can knock out with a week’s worth of work. That changes with the new movie Trans-Siberian, where The Hollywood Reporter says he’s landed the lead role in a mixed nationality cast.
The movie is about an American couple traveling the famous Trans-Siberian rail line from Vladivostok to Moscow. En route, they encounter another couple and suddenly their relaxing train vacation turns into a mysterious chase full of deception and murder. Woody Harrelson and Samantha Morton will play the primary couple while Kate Mara and Spanish actor Eduardo Noriega form the other one.
The movie starts shooting next week in Russia, so Woody, smoke em while you’ve got em.
