Harrison Ford is changing disciplines. He’s abandoning his archeologist’s um… bullwhip… and trading it in for a hazmat suit. Variety says he’s signed up to star in a movie called Crowley, where he plays a disease fighting maverick scientist.
It’s based on the true story of John and Aileen Crowley, a couple whose children were born with a rare genetic disorder. Note I said rare, not cool. They didn’t have super powers. If only more genetic disorders resulted in increased agility or flying ability, the world would be a better place. Harrison Ford plays a researcher who has found a potential cure for what ails the kids, and is hunted down by John Crowley.
I had absolutely no idea science actually cured diseases anymore. Isn’t it all about treating symptoms now? Didn’t the whole curing of things stop shortly after we licked polio?
