Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 Flies Home In November![]()
As the final segment in the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 went out with several bangs. With that in mind, it is no surprise the film captured our hearts as well as our wallets. Banking over a billion dollars worldwide, the film stayed in theaters for several months, which may account for its late home release date. Warner Home Video won’t bring Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 into homes until November 11th.
In case there were any concerns, there will be a 3D release of The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, as well as standard Blu-Ray, DVD, and download releases. I suppose since the film had a 3D theatrical release, a 3D home release is pertinent; however, it will look pretty strange alongside the other seven, non-3D releases. To each his own, I guess. Another reason that could account for the late home release is the large amount of extras. All copies will come with lengthy featurettes, including “When Harry Left Hogwarts,” a mini-documentary giving unprecedented access to many of the creative processes used in the franchise films.
