In the following preview for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince there is a troubled boy who grows up to be Voldemort, a lot of artful CGI, and a strange memory that is the key to unlocking everything. Those of you who have read the book know exactly what is happening. I can glean just enough from this preview to be thoroughly interested.

The Harry Potter films are building momentum and working towards defeating one of the most intriguing and tangibly evil villains since Darth Vader. There is something extremely comforting about the fact that the goal is clear and certain: Voldemort must be vanquished. The trailer for Half-Blood Prince leads me to believe that we are getting closer and closer to this goal, but the mood is gloomier than ever. This latest preview is all deep blues and dark plumes of smoke.
