The first real Thanksgiving Day box office results are in and as you’ve probably already assumed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out on top. The film earned $14.4 million on Wednesday and clocked in with a still strong $11 million on Thanksgiving Day, to hold on to first place in the face of a slew of new challengers.

But few of those new challengers, outside of Tangled amounted to much. Tangled sits strong in second place with an $8.1 million Thursday take. Good numbers for what people are calling Disney’s best movie so far. Everything else on the chart is pretty much dead on arrival. Sure Burlesque managed to land third place on Thursday, but the widely panned Christina Aguilera/Cher musical only earned $2.8 million. Love and Other Drugs only eeked out $2.2 million, mostly from people eager for Anne Hathaway nudity. Faster flopped even… faster… landing in a distant seventh place on Thursday with only $1.5 million.
