Harry Potter Fans Unite To Help Dumbledore Take Over Twitter![]()
Harry Potter fans are hungry. After being forced to wait an additional six months for the arrival of Half-Blood Prince by some release date shuffling on the part of Warner Brothers, the Pottersphere is ready to gorge. Midnight showings kick off tonight and most of them have long since been completely sold out. If you don’t already have a ticket, you’re probably not getting one.
But Potter fans aren’t content just with conquering the box office, as they and their movie will almost certainly do this weekend. They’re also planning a takeover of twitter. Harry Potter has already hit the top of Twitter’s trending topics and it will probably stay there through the weekend. That’s not enough. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is, more than any of the other movies, Dumbledore’s. At the end of the film, the Hogwarts wizards pay tribute to him by lighting their wands and raising them above their heads. Out here in the Muggle world, The Harry Potter Alliance is organizing a campaign to pay tribute to him by getting his name at the top of Twitter’s trending topics. To participate, all you have to do is stick #dumbledore on the end of anything you post on Twitter. Keep doing it and then get your friends to do it. Share this article, let them know what’s up, and unite together to give Albus Dumbledore his due. Get enough people to do it, and #dumbledore will take over Twitter. See Cinema Blend’s first Dumbledore tweet right here and then join in! ![]() |
