After a string of pretty sucky movies, Jim Carrey hasn’t seemed in much of a hurry to load back up his production schedule. The only live action movie on the horizon for him is Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!, and with the way that thing has gone who knows if that’ll ever happen or if he’ll even be in it when it does. So it looks like his next film may be something called Yes Man, which MTV reveals he’s set to start working on this fall with Harry Potter producer David Heyman.
Yes Man is a high concept comedy. Heyman says it’s “about a man who finds himself very depressed, and is always saying no. When friends ask him out, he always says no. The movie will explore “…what happens when he decides to say yes to every thing that comes his way.” The idea sounds like it’d fit pretty comfortably on a shelf with Liar Liar or Bruce Almighty, or it might also be at home in a bargain bin next to Fun with Dick and Jane.

What!!! This is a book by a British author and presenter called Danny Wallace. Is this supposed to be an adaptation of that, because if yes, then that's really stupid, it's a true story from only about 2 years ago, and if no, then they have so blatently ripped off this idea, right down to the title, that the audacity is staggering.
