Josh Hartnett will be appearing soon in the highly anticipated remake of Wicker Park and is thus on the verge of being famous again. Thirteen year old girls and former thirteen year old girls rejoice.

Since he’s on the verge of being famous again, people are interested in Harnett casting, so we’ll drop you this little tidbit. Hartnett will be re-teaming with Wicker Park director Paul McGuigan in a movie called Lucky Number Sleven. Written by Jason Smilovic, the film is the story of a gambler with a terrible speech impediment. For some reason though the official press release insists on describing it as a “noir gangster film” in which rival African-American and Jewish gangs clash in the streets.

Josh plays a hitman who has to kill the son of one of the rival crime bosses. If I were placing bets, I’d guess that Josh is with the Jewish gang and has to kill the son of the African-American leader… unless he’s trying to resurrect black-face, which would probably be about as well received as his comedy team-up with Harrison Ford.
