Earlier today the first images from the New York set of The Amazing Spider-Man arrived online, and while the pics did finally show off Peter Parker in his natural home, the truth is that they didn't really show much that we haven't seen already. Thus far crafty photographers have gotten plenty of snapshots of star Andrew Garfield both in costume as the webslinger and in his streets, and Emma Stone as the lovely Gwen Stacey. There is, however, one key character we haven't seen yet.

Pink Is The New Blog has posted more images from the set including what may be the first look at the film's main baddie, The Lizard. Here's the problem, though: it's nearly impossible to tell if it's actually him. The picture shows Rhys Ifans (if it is actually him) dressed in an ankle length hooded jacket with a mask over his face. The only indication that this is, in fact, The Lizard, is that there appears to be some green makeup around his eyes. Also, why go to such extreme lengths to cover a person's face if there's nothing to see underneath?
