Hayden Christensen and Samuel L.Jackson just can’t get enough of each other. According to Moviehole the two saber slashers have signed up to star in a psychological thriller called Wisdom and Hindsight. It’s described as something in the vein of Se7en, which seems to be the default description for all psychological thrillers these days. I’ve yet to see one that actually delivers on that promise though.

The really interesting thing here is that the film will be directed by Hayden and Sam’s sword fighting stunt coordinator from the Star Wars prequel Nick Gillard. It’s not often you hear of a swordmaster making the transition to movie director, but Gillard does at least have some related experience. He served as a second unit director on Reign of Fire and Shaft. For the uninitiated, a Second Unit Director is the guy who goes and shoots all the garbage shots the film’s real director needs but doesn’t have time for.

You’d think if Gillard was going to direct something it’d be a swashbuckler, but his psychological thriller is already eyeing an early fall start date. Maybe it’ll be a psychological thriller with lots of pointy knives.
