The Tom Waits look-alike Ron Perlman will start a new Job along side Joe Pantoliano, Taryn Manning and Patrick Flueger. The Job is billed as a "darkly comedic drama," as Shem Bitterman adapts his 1998 play revolving a simple man's dreams and a drifter (Perlman) who makes it possible by hooking him up with a slick new job, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is independently backed -- taking advantage of Michigan's new 40 percent refundable or transferable tax credit law -- and has begun filming in Detroit. Little is known about Perlman's latest employment opportunity, but Pearlman is never one to take a boring role. Let's not forget about his current role in Hellboy II: The Golden Army. It's not likely that Perlman will don red makeup and an over-sized trench coat for The Job. It's more of a return to form for Perlman who has appeared in countless stage plays and smaller, indie-type films.
