I wasn’t a huge fan of Hellboy prior to Guillermo del Toro’s movie adaptation and other than the movie I haven’t had a ton of exposure to the character, so I frequently forget just how much I enjoyed del Toro’s flick. Hellboy was a good ride and, while it may not have been the most perfect picture, it left me wanting more.
Thankfully more is on the way, and it’s been a busy day for big red and his Right Hand of Doom. First some images from the upcoming Hellboy II: The Golden Army made their way online, then a new trailer. The trailer goes a lot more in depth about what the movie’s story will be, including a solid look at the Golden Army. I don’t know why, but this feels like a more complete look at Hellboy’s world. You know, less of Hellboy as an odd fish-out-of-water and more with the character in his own element. Of course, it also looks like del Toro is bringing a lot of his freakish looking Pan’s Labrynth ideas to this movie too. Still, I’m excited. Check out the trailer below: WATCH IT IN HIGH-RES!
