Yesterday it was Hellboy’s lady love, today it’s Hellboy’s fishy buddy Abe Sapien (no relation to the robot) who has popped up online for the first time promoting Hellboy II: The Golden Army.
Universal has put up a character poster for Abe on their official site, along with a special welcome from Abe, both of which you can find embedded below. Take a look, and a listen to Abe’s new voice. Adios David Hyde Pierce.

I agree with Kris, David Pierce was better as Abe, but I still can't help all-together enjoying the charachter. I absolutely love Abraham Sapien. His history also fascinates me- look him up on Wikipedia...
I've been looking at some of the Hellboy comics of late, and was suprised to discover that there's good news for me and fellow Abe finatics- Abe has his own series of comics! They're called Abe Sapien, and there are only 6 issues available, but are excellent. I would recommend them to any comic junkie, Abe finatic, or Hellboy fan.
I liked David Hyde Pierce better... somehow it had more of an air of intelligence behind it... no offense to Doug jones, hes very gifted, but his voice just doesnt do it for me as Abe.
