A supernatural thriller about a spirit medium is pretty much the last thing I expected from Clint Eastwood and Matt Damon, but like it or not, they’ve spent a considerable amount of their time making Hereafter anyway. It’s sure to do big business, since anything that takes ghosts seriously seems to suck people in. Probably because we’re all afraid of death. That’s my theory. Leave me to it.

In Hereafter Damon plays a guy who can talk to dead people. He encounters a French journalist and a schoolboy, all facing recent experiences with death. Their lives intersect and are changed forever by what they discover must exist in the hereafter. See, it’s nice to believe that when you’re dead you’re not really dead. You’re going to eat this up.
