High-Res 01-18-08 Poster![]()
Like most people who went to see Transformers, I was completely dumbstruck by the J.J. Abrams produced trailer that appeared before the film. It was grainy; it was scary; and best of all, it was out of nowhere. In this age of media oversharing, there’s rarely any real surprises. We hear about projects years in advance, and you can get a pretty good idea whether something is worth seeing or not months in advance. Not this project. In fact, J.J. Abrams hasn’t even released a damn title. The anticipation is killing me, and I’m eating up everything about it.
Earlier today a shiny high resolution poster image for Cloverfield, aka 01-18-08, popped up on EW.com, and it’s a work of beauty. It pictures a headless Statue Of Liberty with a fiery New York City skyline in the background. It’s absolutely perfect in the fact that it tells us nothing new about the mysterious motion picture. Rumors have been circulating that some kind of monster or parasite will invade the Earth early on, but I’m secretly hoping that I don’t know anything when I enter my local movie theater on 1-18-08. UPDATE: With all respect to EW, Paramount has sent us a nice, big high-resolution copy of the poster. Click here to see a nice big copy |
