The first real poster for Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is here, and due to an email glitch, I found out about it three days late, even though the great HHG people sent it to me directly. Still, it is after all the most important movie of 2005, so I’m doing a full blown story on it, rather than just dumping the new poster onto our official HHG preview page the way I’ve done with the new Herbie: Fully Loaded poster here. Herbie is vomiting Lindsay Lohan.

But the first Hitchhiker’s Guide One Sheet is absolutely beautiful. I am totally in love with the way they’ve worked those little fan nods into it! The 42 is of course there in the upper right corner, but above it is something that only the most devout of HHG fans will get a kick from… an extremely surprised whale. It is a bit strange to see Marvin trailing along after Arthur like a little puppy, but fun.
