Hitchhiking Art

No movie, not even the Transformers movie is going to get more sappy coverage from Cinema Blend (and me in particular) in the coming year than Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. So just get used to it. Had Lord of the Rings not been made, this would be the most important movie of the decade. As it is, the boys and their froody adventures are running a damned close number two. So grab a pan galactic gargleblaster and enjoy. Your only other choice is to spend a year dead, a la Hot Black Desiato. Might not be a bad idea, especially for tax purposes. Seemed to work out pretty well for him.

A few days ago we brought you the new and slightly different from the one you’d already seen teaser trailer for HHGTG (What is the proper abbreviation for this thing anyway?). In it, we mentioned that Yahoo had a few production drawings from the flick, this bears repeating. Yahoo has a few production photos from the flick. I’ve plopped them down at the bottom of the article. They’re not new, just cool so please stare at them.

What is new is three more pieces of concept art, this time courtesy of the great Hitchhiker fansite, Magrathea. Take a look at the new ones, then scroll all the way down to the bottom of this article and compare to the old ones. Repeat until you’ve been brainwashed into bumping this movie’s status up into the “Mostly Harmless” category.

Planet of the overweight?

Heart of Gold has landed. But where?

Arthur at his place... Vogans in the sky?

Hey, speaking of those guys the Vogans, did you hear? Their being done by the Jim Henson Creature Shop as kick ass muppet things! Hands up their asses. Good call. Enough with the CG.
